Small Crochet Lily Pad Pillow with Flower Pattern

Materials Needed:

• 6 chunky blanket yarn (green for the lily pad and 2 other colors for the flower)

• 6mm / J Crochet hook 

• Yarn needle

• Scissors

• Fiberfill stuffing

Basic Construction:

Small Lily Pad:

Round 1: Ch 2. 6 sc in the 2nd chain from the hook. Sl st to the top of the first sc. (6 sc)

Round 2: Ch 1 and turn. (2sc) in each st around. Sl st to the top of the first sc. (12) 

Round 3: Ch 1 and turn. *(2sc), sc. Repeat from * around. Do not sl st to top of the first sc! (18)

Round 4: Ch 1 and turn. *(2sc), 2 sc. Repeat from * to end. (24) 

Round 5: Ch 1 and turn. *(2sc), 3 sc. Repeat from * around. (30) Finish off. 

To make into a small lily pad pillow: 

Repeat rounds 1-5. This time leave a long tail for sewing. Hold the two lily pad sides together so that the notches are lined up. Using yarn needle, stitch the 2 sides together. Add stuffing before it is all stitched up. Finish off. 

Small flower: 

(With center color) Round 1: Ch 2. 6 sc in the 2nd chain from the hook. Sl st to the top of the first sc. (6 sc) 

(With petal color) Round 2: Join new color with a sl st to the top of any stitch of round 1. *ch 4. Sl st in next st. Repeat from * until you have 6 petals. 

Cut yarn, leaving a long tail to sew flower onto pillow or mat.
