๐Ÿงถ Crochet Hamburger Plushie Pattern

Finished size: 3 1/2 inches tall, 5 inches wide

Materials:

  • #6 Chunky Blanket Yarn (gold, dark brown or black, yellow, light green, red, a small bit of pink for cheeks!)
  • 6mm / J / 10 Crochet Hook
  • 10mm Safety Eyes
  • a large handful of polyfill stuffing
  • Stitch Markers
  • Yarn Needle
  • Scissors

Note: The burger bun is worked in a continuous spiral so there is no slip stitch or ch 1 to start the rounds. Because of this, it is very helpful to have a stitch marker to mark the first stitch of each round so that you don’t have to count the whole time!

With Gold:

Round 1: Ch2. 7 sc in 2nd ch from the hook. (7)

Round 2: Sc inc in each stitch. (14)

Round 3: (Sc in the next st, sc inc in the next st) repeat around. (21)

Round 4: (Sc in next 2 sts, sc inc in the next st) repeat around. (28)

Round 5: Sc in the next 27 sts. sl st in the last st. Finish off and weave in ends. (28)

Repeat Rounds 1-5 to make another burger bun. To one of the burger buns, add face details. Place safety eyes between rows 3 and 4, about 2 sts apart. Place cheeks about 1 st below each eye, 1 st across. Place mouth between eyes, about 1 or 2 sts across.

With Dark Brown:

Round 6: Using the burger bun that does NOT have the face detail. Work this round in back loops of round 5. Draw up a loop of dark brown in the blo of any st from round 5. Ch 1 and sc in the same back loop. sc blo in the remaining 27 sts. Sl st in the first st, ch 1. (28)

Round 7: Sc flo in the next 28 sts. (28)

Round 8: Sc blo in the next 28 sts. sl st in the first st. Finish off and weave in ends. (28)

With Yellow:

Round 9: Work this round in front loops of round 8. Draw up a loop of yellow in the flo of any st from row 8. Ch 1 *[sc in the next 4 sts, (sc, hdc) in the next st, (hdc, dc, hdc) in the next st, hdc, sc) in the next st,]. Repeat from * around. Sl st to the first st of the round. Finish off and weave in ends.

With Green:

Round 10: Work this round in the back loops of round 8 (These are the unused dark brown loops of round 8.) Draw up a loop of green in the blo of any st from row 8. Ch 1 and sc in the same back loop. Sc blo in each stitch around. Sl st to first sc. (28)

Round 11: Work this round in the front loops of round 10. Ch 1 [*sc in next 2 st, ch 2]. Repeat from * around. Sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

With Red:

Round 12: With this round, we will connect the top bun to the rest of the burger. This round will be worked in the black loops of Round 5 of the top bun and the back loops of Round 10 (the unused green loops of round 10). Insert your hook into the back loop of any stitch of Round 10, then into the back loop of any stitch of Round 5. Draw up a loop of red.

Insert the hook into blo Round 10 then into blo Round 5. Yarn over with red yarn, pull through all 3 loops. Continue around in the same manner until you are about 3/4 of the way around the burger. Grab a big handful of polyfill stiffing and stuff your burger. Continue around until your burger is all stitched up.

Finish off and weave in the ends!
